Ange Postecoglou is familiar with O’Riley, as he brought him from MK Dons to Celtic in January 2022.
During his time at Parkhead, the Denmark international has shown significant improvement and has attracted interest from various clubs across Europe.
Reports from GiveMeSport in May suggested that Postecoglou might reunite with the 23-year-old at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, while West Ham also showed interest in the player.
Recently, Football Scotland reported that Atalanta made a £15m offer for O’Riley, which Celtic rejected. Football Insider has now disclosed that Atalanta is preparing to make a second bid for the midfielder.
Celtic’s highest sale to date was Jota for £25m to Al-Ittihad last year, and they are looking for a larger fee for O’Riley.
Leicester City has also shown interest in the Danish player, but with Champions League clubs in the mix, the Foxes’ chances of signing him seem slim.
The speculation linking O’Riley to Spurs earlier in the summer appeared to be mainly due to the Postecoglou connection.
There is little indication that Tottenham is seriously contemplating a move for the Celtic star.
