A report claims that Sevilla rejected Rangers’ loan proposal for Joan Jordan.
The Light Blues made contact with the La Liga team in an effort to get the 30-year-old to play at Ibrox in the 2024–2025 season. After spending €14 million to move from Eibar in 2019, the two-time Europa League champion would join Philippe Clement’s team with a wealth of European experience. He had spent five years with Los Nervionense. Fabrizio Romna, however, asserts that the deal is off for the time being since Sevilla rejected the Ibrox club’s demand to have a share of the player’s salary covered under the terms of the agreement.
They expect him to stay unless a better offer is made, and they want his pay paid in full. Jordan was hit in the head in 2022 by a metal rod that was hurled from the crowd following a Sevilla goal against Real Betis, a city rival, during the Copa Del Rey semifinal. The game was called off, and when it was played again the next day without Jordan, Betis prevailed 2-1.
