Star NRL playermaker set for imminent super league switch

Sydney Roosters half-back Luke Keary is expected to join a Super League team soon, with an announcement anticipated for the former State of Origin playmaker.

Keary has been with the Roosters since 2017, making over 150 appearances and winning two NRL Grand Finals, along with earning a Clive Churchill Medal. Before joining the Roosters, he played for the South Sydney Rabbitohs, where he won his first NRL Premiership.

This year, Keary was named in the extended State of Origin NSW side. Last month, he signed a contract extension with the Roosters that would keep him with the team through next year.

Regarded as one of the best playmakers in the NRL, the 32-year-old half-back still has a few seasons ahead of him. However, he has announced that he will be retiring after the current NRL season.
