Breaking News:Everton star Player contract Expired

Alan Myers claims that if Dele Alli signs a new deal, Everton will only have to pay Tottenham for him if he is sold in the future.

The midfield player is practicing with Sean Dyche’s team in preseason, according to a report from X on Friday, July 12, from a Sky Sports journalist. A new contract to prolong his time at Goodison may be in the works.

As the deal hinders Everton’s ability to extend his stay, reports suggest the Toffees are in talks with Spurs to renegotiate the conditions of the transfer [Liverpool Echo, July 12]. However, fees would only be paid if he completes a move elsewhere.

Myers wrote on X, stating: “Everton would only have to pay Spurs if, (after he’s signed a new contract with Everton), there is a future sale.” Dele is practicing with the team with the possibility of a new contract.

If Dyche and the Toffees weren’t trying so hard to get the former England international to sign a new contract, they wouldn’t be making this much of an effort to keep Dele at Goodison Park past the start of preseason.

However, the 28-year-old’s chances of receiving a new contract offer will probably be influenced more by the formal details of the agreement than by his play or level of health during the first few weeks of the Toffees’ preseason preparation.

If Myers’ claim is accurate, and the Blues would only have to pay Tottenham further payments if he successfully completed a move away from Goodison, it could be worthwhile to offer him new terms this summer.

Everton would only have to pay Spurs if, after Dele signs a new contract with Everton, there is a future sale. Dele is now practicing with the team with the possibility of a new agreement.

Everton would have an extremely exciting prospect in their ranks without having to pay a Premier League competitor any more money for at least another year or two, if the former Spurs player returns to his best.

Additionally, Jarrad Branthwaite of Everton may now pursue a transfer to Manchester United following the Red Devils’ recent hiring.
