Eddie Nketiah of Arsenal is a striker that Everton is interested in, and they may try to buy him shortly, according to Caught Offside.
The publication revealed on its website on Thursday, July 11, that the Toffees, along with Brentford, Crystal Palace, West Ham United, and other Premier League rivals, are interested in signing the England international.
The 25-year-old is expected to fetch between €29.5 million and €33.7 million from Marseille, who is also planning an initial bid in the neighbourhood of £21 million. However, the Gunners might hang out for more.
After falling behind Mikel Arteta in the pecking order and been limited to just 10 Premier League starts in the previous season, Nketiah is rumored to be open to leaving the Emirates in quest of a fresh challenge.
Will Eddie Nketiah leave Arsenal this summer despite Everton’s transfer interest?
Iliman Ndiaye, who has been linked to the Toffees for a number of transfer windows, moved from Marseille to Goodison Park as part of Everton’s swift efforts to expand their striker options during the summer transfer window.
To address the Blues’ striker situation, though, Sean Dyche might feel that he has to bring in one or two more players. If Nketiah can be signed for a reasonable price, he might be the perfect answer.
Although the 25-year-old’s playing time at the Emirates has been restricted in the past 12 months, he has demonstrated throughout his career that, given the opportunity to start games, he is a reliable goal scorer.
