Norwich want to keep Adam Idah, but the player wants to move. It could get messy

The saga regarding Adam Idah’s future took a new turn yesterday when it was disclosed that both Norwich manager Johannes Hoff Thorup and Sporting director Ben Knapper envision the striker’s future at Carrow Road.

During a fans forum yesterday, Sporting Director Knapper informed Canaries supporters that both he and Hoff Thorup desire a striker of Adam’s caliber to remain at the club and see his long-term future there.

This is, of course, not surprising and entirely within their rights, as he is, after all, their player. He is still under contract for another four years, so they have complete control over the situation.

Adam has made it clear that he wants to move to Glasgow. He sees his future at Celtic, especially after experiencing success both personally and in football last season in Scotland.

Playing at Celtic would give him the opportunity to win honors and play in the Champions League, which he wouldn’t have at Norwich. It’s only natural that he sees his future at Celtic. This might be his only chance, and Celtic is also the club he supports, so there are personal as well as professional reasons for Idah’s position.

With key figures at Norwich expressing their desire for Adam to stay, but the player himself publicly stating that he wants to move, things are bound to get messy… and the price will rise as Norwich seeks to get maximum value if they are forced to accept the inevitable outcome.
