Arsenal has granted permission for their first summer sale, signaling a willingness to part ways with a player. However, there is a possibility that Mikel Arteta could be saved by Everton.

Everton could potentially provide Mikel Arteta with an ideal solution to his predicament at Arsenal ahead of the upcoming summer transfer window. It is widely anticipated that the Gunners will be active in the market, as Arteta is eager to strengthen his squad in preparation for a renewed challenge for the Premier League title.

Furthermore, Arsenal have been heavily linked with the sale of several players in order to bolster their transfer budget once the window officially opens later this month. Eddie Nketiah is one of the players who has been linked with a departure, with Fulham, Crystal Palace, and Wolves reportedly interested in acquiring his services.

According to The Sun, Nketiah, who had limited playing time last season, is keen on leaving Arsenal in search of regular football elsewhere. It is reported that Arsenal have reluctantly decided to sell him if the right offer comes along, but Arteta would prefer to retain the forward rather than lose him permanently. Arteta holds Nketiah in high regard and believes he can be a valuable asset for the future. Everton may present Arteta with an ideal solution, as they are reportedly eager to secure Nketiah on a season-long loan rather than a permanent transfer.

However, it is understood that Arsenal are aware that selling Nketiah would provide them with additional funds to pursue a move for RB Leipzig forward Benjamin Sesko. The Slovenian international is believed to be a top target for Arsenal after an impressive debut season in the Bundesliga, where he scored 18 goals.

Sesko is said to have a release clause of approximately £55m, and reports suggest that he would prefer a summer move to Arsenal over Chelsea or Manchester United. AC Milan have also shown interest, but it remains to be seen if they possess the financial means to match Leipzig’s release clause.

Arsenal may consider selling Nketiah to raise funds for potential transfers for Ivan Toney and Dominic Solanke. Despite Arteta’s reluctance to part ways with the striker, a loan agreement with Everton could be a viable option to benefit all parties involved. Arteta has praised Nketiah’s abilities and expressed confidence in his potential for further growth and success on the field.
