GdS: ‘One month to convince’ – Milan going full steam ahead for Zirkzee

AC Milan is focused on securing the signing of Joshua Zirkzee from Bologna and aims to finalize the deal within a particular month. Milan have selected Zirkzee as the ideal successor for departing player Olivier Giroud, according to La Gazzetta dello Sport. The club is aiming to finalize the deal within a specific time period due to a €40m release clause that is only active from July 1 to August 15. Milan essentially has the entire month of June to persuade the player that joining Milan is the best decision for him, especially considering he will receive numerous offers from other teams. Negotiations are ongoing with the Dutch forward regarding salary and length of contract. Teams such as Juventus, Arsenal, and Manchester United have shown interest, with the last two possessing financial resources that surpass those of Italian clubs. Stuttgart’s Serhou Guirassy is still being considered as an alternative to Zirkzee, as the Guinean player can be acquired for €17.5m due to a release clause. Milan have already had a meeting with the German club to talk about Guirassy, along with other players who may be part of the deal if it progresses.
