After his team’s 1-0 Scottish Cup win over Rangers on Saturday, Brendan Rodgers correctly noted that Adam Idah has played a significant role in Celtic’s success this season. The center-forward, who arrived in the winter from Norwich City in the English Championship, was signed with very little attention. Right away, he had a significant influence in Glasgow, scoring important goals in his initial matches wearing the green and white kit. His talent for scoring important goals helped him during his time on loan. Idah has become a beloved figure among Celtic fans due to his successful performances at various stadiums such as Fir Park, Easter Road, Ibrox, Rugby Park, and most recently Hampden. After scoring a last-minute winning goal on Saturday, Rodgers acknowledged his desire to extend the player’s stay at Celtic beyond the current season. Based on some of his statements, it seems that the 23-year-old player would also be open to the idea of staying longer at the club. Idah acknowledged that he receives more love in Glasgow than at Carrow Road, where he has been made a scapegoat, during his post-match interview following the Scottish Cup final. He mentioned that he was not enjoying playing football in the south. He felt like he was being blamed for things and it was difficult being in that situation. “The affection I’ve experienced at Celtic has been incredible. I’m truly enjoying my time here. I didn’t anticipate it to be this great. It has truly transformed my professional trajectory.” “I have received a warm welcome from the players, staff, and fans since coming up here, and they have all boosted my confidence and belief, allowing me to enjoy playing football again.” “I have been enjoying my time here, but I am still under contract with Norwich. The decision is not within my control. The football industry operates in unpredictable ways. I will take some time off now and wait to see what unfolds.”
