Darrell Clarke departs from Cheltenham to assume control at Barnsley.

 

Darrell Clarke has resigned from his position as manager of Cheltenham Town in League Two to become the new head coach of Barnsley on a two-year contract, with the possibility of extending for another year. Clarke, who took over as Barnsley boss last September, departs Whaddon Road shortly after the team’s relegation from League One. The former Port Vale and Walsall manager achieved 12 victories in his 35 games in charge at Cheltenham.
