Stuttgart, fresh off their Champions League qualifying, is considering making a summer transfer for Real Betis’ talisman to replace the 25-goal striker.

This season, Borja Iglesias is playing for Bayer Leverkusen for the second part of it. The 31-year-old was given permission to go on loan from Real Betis during the winter, and even though he hasn’t scored in any of his nine appearances since moving to Germany, he will still receive a medal for winning the Bundesliga.

Iglesias is anticipated to return to Betis in the summer, and Leverkusen is not anticipated to activate the buy provision in his loan agreement. He might still be playing football in Germany, though, as Canal Sur Radio (via MD) reports that Stuttgart is considering him as a striker.

Stuttgart will participate in the Champions League the next season after having an amazing season. They will, however, be without attackers Deniz Undav (on loan from Brighton) and Serhou Guirassy, who is anticipated to go in the summer after drawing interest from other European teams following his 25 goals in the Bundesliga. Iglesias is rumored to be on the market for Real Betis this summer, so any efforts Stuttgart makes to move him would undoubtedly be appreciated. Any money received would be used to their transfer window budget.
