Blackburn Rovers manager John Eustace has been accused of misconduct by the Football Association after an altercation with Coventry City midfielder Kasey Palmer. The incident occurred during a goalless draw at Ewood Park, shortly after half-time. Eustace was sent off for pushing Palmer on the touchline, effectively ending Coventry’s chances of reaching the play-offs. The FA has stated that Eustace has until May 3 to respond to the charges. In the same match, Coventry City’s Liam Kitching was also shown a red card, reducing the team to 10 men. This was Kitching’s third dismissal of the season, setting a club record. Eustace, who started his career at Highfield Road, could potentially miss the last game of the season against Leicester City if he is banned. A defeat in that match could result in Blackburn Rovers being relegated to League One. Earlier in the season, Eustace was the manager of Birmingham City before being replaced by Wayne Rooney after just 15 games.
