Pat Bonner ‘can’t believe’ what Adam Idah did just before Dundee scored vs Celtic

Celtic’s victory over Dundee turned into a nail-biting affair when Tony Docherty’s team managed to score a goal with less than fifteen minutes remaining. Initially, James Forrest’s two goals seemed to secure an easy win for Celtic, and Brendan Rodgers’ side only needed to hold on to avoid a tense ending at Dens Park. However, things took a turn when Forrest was substituted, and for the second consecutive week, Celtic conceded a goal right after his departure. While I’m not suggesting that taking Forrest off was the sole reason for Dundee’s goal, Pat Bonner believes he knows who is to blame for the challenging final 16 minutes of the match. Bonner criticized Adam Idah’s decision-making during corner defending, stating that the Irishman should have been positioned in the six-yard box to deal with the ball instead of being out of the game. Celtic’s struggles in defending corners and set pieces have been evident throughout the season under Rodgers. The team’s weaknesses at the back were exposed by Aberdeen, a team battling relegation. It is crucial for Celtic to have their tallest and most physical players marking the opposition during these crucial moments of the game. Hopefully, Rodgers will address this issue and work on improving it in the remaining four league matches.
