Celtic show interest in former English Premier League goalkeeper to replace Joe Hart

Joe Hart is set to retire from professional football after six more games with Celtic. He hopes to end his career on a high note by helping the team secure a league and cup double. Celtic is already looking for his replacement and wants to avoid a prolonged search during the summer.

Several goalkeepers have been linked with the club, including Caoimhin Kelleher from Liverpool and Anthony Patterson from Sunderland. Another name that has come up is Asmir Begovic, a former player for Stoke City and Chelsea who currently plays for Queens Park Rangers in the English Championship.

According to Talksport, Celtic is showing interest in Begovic, who will be a free agent at the end of the season. However, it is mentioned that Begovic has not ruled out the possibility of signing a new contract and staying at QPR, where he has had a successful season with 46 appearances.

Nevertheless, a move to Celtic may be appealing to Begovic if he wants to compete for trophies and play in European competitions before retiring from football.
