Sir Rod Stewart acknowledged this weekend that Tony Docherty’s team “could be a problem” and urged Celtic to raid Dundee of Luke McCowan this summer.
Brendan Rodgers’ team returns to league action on Sunday as they visit Dens Park for the first of two post-split games. Last weekend, they defeated Aberdeen on penalties to go to the Scottish Cup final. Stewart, a devoted supporter of Celtic, is not taking anything for granted as the Hoops head into the half with a three-point lead over Rangers in the Scottish Premiership.
A reluctant Stewart discussed the matchup with Dundee with Alan Brazil on talkSPORT before suggesting that Celtic Park officials try to sign 26-year-old McCowan. The rocker remarked, “The problem is that we can’t take our foot off the pedal.Dundee can provide an issue. McCowan, have you seen this little child? He is a Dundee player. Whoa. He’s amazing, maybe Celtic has their eye on him.”
