Former Sky Blues defender visited demetia care home

PRIOR The defender for the Sky Blues and his associates paid a visit to MHA Charnwood House, a residential dementia care facility in Coventry that houses 65 individuals.
Before the semi-final match, David and John Szyndler, the manager of mental health and well-being, together with their dog Winnie, spoke with the residents, and Winnie won them over.

“Most of the residents here are Coventry City fans, so when we told them what was happening, they were really excited,” stated Ellen Bishop, the activities coordinator.

“I called a residents meeting shortly after I moved into the home, and we spoke about how we might involve the residents’ families in our activities and help them become more community-focused.

“The visit went incredibly well; among other things, David and his team talked about his time as a player and interacted with the locals.

“Winne was a true gem; she behaved herself wonderfully, and the residents had a great time today.”
