The schedule for the Championship Play-off Semi-Finals has been altered by the NFL.

 

The EFL has modified the semi-final schedule for the Championship playoffs. Monday, May 13 at 8 p.m. was scheduled to kick off the first leg between the teams that place fifth and fourth, respectively. The game has now been rescheduled for Sunday, May 12, with a 2:15 pm kickoff. This move, it has been said, was taken to prevent Midlands rivals Aston Villa and West Brom Albion from having home games on the same evening.

West Brom currently occupy fifth place in the Championship while Aston Villa are scheduled to host Liverpool on Monday, May 13.

The playoff semi-final between the teams who finish sixth and third will also take place on Sunday, May 12. Kick-off is at 12:30.

Southampton are currently in fourth, while Ipswich Town sit third and Norwich City are in sixth.

First Leg 

Sunday, May 12 at 12.30pm: 6th v 3rd

Sunday, May 12 at 2.15pm: 5th v 4th

Second Leg 

Thursday, May 16 at 8pm: 3rd v 6th

Friday, May 17 at 8pm: 4th v 5th

Final

Sunday, May 26: TBC v TBC
