Erik ten Hag, the manager of Manchester United, has taken aim at the media following their FA Cup victory over Coventry on Sunday.

United defeated Coventry by a small margin at Wembley on Sunday, setting up a rematch with Manchester City in the FA Cup final.

Despite making it to the FA Cup final, United faced backlash after coming close to losing against Coventry. Getty

However, Ten Hag has emerged victorious after the Red Devils were widely chastised for all but losing the game with 20 minutes remaining, trailing 3-0.

Ten Hag stated that “football is about results.” “We deserved to be in the final and we did.

“We were incredibly fortunate to make it to the final even though we lost control for twenty minutes. That is just amazing.

“It was disgraceful how you [the media] responded. It’s amazing that there have been two FA Cup finals in two years.

In an extraordinary FA Cup semi-final, Man United barely defeats Coventry.

“Four cup finals in four years for me as manager.” The remarks are shameful.

Ten Hag has a history of losing his cool with the media; just this month, he stormed out of a news conference after declining to answer a single question.

Despite leading 3-0 with 20 minutes remaining, United defeated Coventry on penalties to get to the FA Cup final.

Ellis Simms and Callum O’Hare scored goals for the Championship team in the 71st and 79th minutes, respectively, and Haji Wright converted from the penalty spot in the 95th minute, almost completing one of the biggest upsets in FA Cup history.Torp’s dramatic victory for Coventry was disqualified by VAR.

After extra time, Coventry believed they had won when Victor Torp scored in the  121st minute, but Wright’s goal was called back due to a tiny infraction during the build-up, forcing penalties.

Celebrations broke out in the United camp as Rasmus Hojlund converted the game-winning penalty after O’Hare and Ben Sheaf missed their spot kicks.

Like some of their other young talents, Graeme Souness is concerned that Alejandro Garnacho of Manchester United may have “too much, too soon.”

Ten Hag maintained that the Brazilian was initially provoked, despite the fact that Antony was seen provoking the Coventry players.

“He [Antony] was [provoked] and should not react like this,” he stated.

“You’ve only seen the response; you haven’t seen the provocation, but it’s wrong for him to do that.

“We must give credit to Coventry for their effort, as they rallied at the 70-minute mark when we were clearly in the lead.

“The game must be closed, but the comeback from their side was very good.”
