BREAKING NEWS: Celtic advertise for new Lennoxtown staff appointment

Celtic have been busy these past couple of seasons revamping Lennoxtown and have now started to redevelop Barrowfield as the club looks to improve its off-field infrastructure. The work being carried out will give a new home to the Celtic Women‘s team and hopefully help the club breed the new academy prospects of the future. But on top of that, Celtic now also looking to make an addition to their first-team backroom staff. Brendan Rodgers has had to deal with the loss of Harry Kewell recently and whilst this addition is not in the coaching department, it is a role that is crucial to help and assist the Celtic manager and his staff.

In a post on the recruitment site, Jobs in Football, “Celtic Football Club is currently seeking a First Team Analyst.

“Reporting to the Head of Analysis & Technical Operations, the First Team Analyst plays a crucial role in providing strategic and tactical insights to support the coaching staff and first team players in enhancing performance on the field.”

The role also involves working closely with Jack Lyons who Rodgers originally hired as an Opposition Analyst at Celtic in his first spell at the club.

Lyons then followed the Celtic manager to Leicester City in 2019 and returned to Paradise this season.

The role demands a strong candidate who can fulfil a number of duties which also include developing game plans with the coaching team, conducting post-match analysis, conducting research projects for the improvement of team and individual performances and creating presentations for Brendan Rodgers with any first-team improvement recommendations.

It seems that Celtic have already got their plans underway to prepare for next season as Rodgers looks to build a support network around him.

However, the fans will also be looking for the same forward planning from the Celtic manager when it comes to player recruitment.

Lack of proper investment in the first team has led to Rangers remaining on our coattails this season and the fans will be keen to have a fair chunk of the profits the Celtic board have in the bank ploughed into Rodgers’ playing squad for the new season ahead.
