Rangers are involved in an “unexpected storm” after their badge was placed over the Hearts badge in the changing rooms at Tynecastle.
That is according to the Daily Record, with the newspaper reporting on Sunday (24 March) that Hearts did not approve of the branding.
The Ibrox badge was layered over the Hearts badge in the home changing room ahead of the Sky Sports Cup final clash between Rangers Women and Partick Thistle.
Are Hearts right to be angry with Rangers after what happened at Tynecastle?
Tynecastle played host to the meeting between Rangers Women and Partick Thistle, with the former easing to a 4-1 win.
Manager Jo Potter made four changes to the side that lost 2-1 to fierce rivals Celtic in the SWPL last weekend, and it proved to be a good decision, with the boss winning her first trophy since taking over the club last summer.
Mia McAulay, Rachel Rowe and Rio Hardy all netted first-half goals for the Gers, with Rachel Donaldson scoring for the Jags.
But any dramatic Partick Thistle comeback was denied by Liv McLoughlin’s second-half goal as the Gers clinched the first silverware of the season.
The win has, however, been somewhat overshadowed by the fury from Hearts, with the Tynecastle side not happy at all about the defacing of their badge.
The relationship between the two clubs will now be tested, with a major fall-out potentially on the cards between the Gers and the Jambos.
