EXCLUSIVE: Former Rangers Star Insists Gers ‘Can’t Disregard’ Celtic Due To Key Factor

Former Rangers star Lee McCulloch has warned that the Gers’ title rivals Celtic getting key players back fit cannot be underestimated.
Under Philippe Clement, the Gers have taken charge of the Scottish Premiership title race. Although they are now in second place, a victory over Celtic will vault them back to the top of the standings.

Rangers have appeared to be playing at the highest level under Clement, whereas Celtic have frequently disappointed with their performances this season.

While some believe that Rangers are clearly leading the title match, former Gers captain McCulloch is cautious since Celtic is starting to bring important players back to full fitness.

He believes that the significance of that cannot be understated.

There doesn’t seem to be a clear favourite. In an interview with the Press Association, McCulloch said, “I can see it going as far as the last day.”

“You can’t ignore the fact that Celtic is gaining players back. Players like Cameron Carter-Vickers, Callum McGregor, and Reo Hatate are huge contributors to the team.

Although Celtic may not have performed to their full potential this season and may have experienced ups and downs in recent months, they are still a very strong squad.

“You can’t just ignore them and declare that the Rangers will win the league,” Up until the end of the season, there is still a lot of football left, so it will be interesting to observe which players and whose team can remain composed.

Following their international break, Rangers will host Hibernian, while Celtic will play Livingston.
