BREAKING NEWS: Pundit believes senior player should now leave Rangers

The Croatian full-back’s contract expires this summer, and Trabzonspor is reportedly pushing for him to play in the Turkish Super Lig. It is thought that his agent is close to finalizing a deal for him to move on in the coming days.Ferguson believes the defender has been a “good servant” for the Light Blues and GETthat his “terrific” left-footed cross-delivering talent is unforgivable. On the other hand, he believes the 31-year-old has occasionally “let himself down” and that his tenure at the club has been hampered by his troubles in Old Firm derbies.

He remarked exclusively to Ibrox News, “I think it’s the right time for him to leave, so I’m not gutted.””You need a strong mentality, if you speak to some of the other guys, whether you’re Rangers, Celtic, Hearts, Hibs, I think at times the pressure seems to have got to Barisic in the big games,” I said, adding that “I think he’s been a good servant to the club,” but in saying that, I think he’s let himself down at times, in some of the big games, not maybe handled the pressure, if you want to call itThough he’s been here for five or six years, he’s been a great cross-ball deliverer generally, so you can’t fault him for that; it’s just his defense that needs work. I’m not saying this all the time, but on occasion he has disappointed me in the big games. I’m referring to a few of Celtic games where he hasn’t performed well. It’s arguable that Scotland’s Ridvan Yilmaz is a stronger left-footed crosser than any in Britain, but Barisic should definitely move on now that he’s finally assumed the starting position and can provide some of that talent while contributing more defensively. There is a belief that a verbal agreement exists to finally finalize a move for Jefte, and another left-back is anticipated to arrive at Ibrox in the summer. Barisic might not be happy to stay on the bench at Rangers at his age, so if he leaves, it will be another aspect of Philippe Clement’s makeover.
