Gary Lineker praised Coventry City’s “absolutely superb” performance against Premier League Wolves in the FA Cup.
Sky Blues advanced to the FA Cup semi-finals by defeating Wolves 3-2 at Molineux, thanks to two late goals. Ellis Simms gave Coventry the lead, but Wolves scored twice in the dying ten minutes of normal time, giving them hope for Wembley.
However, Simms equalised in the 97th minute after nine minutes of stoppages, including nearly four minutes for a VAR check for Coventry’s first goal, before Haji Wright curled in a fantastic winner with 90+10 on the clock to send the 4,800-strong travelling Sky Blue Army berserk.
