Dennis will become the Assistant Head Coach of Minnesota United in the United States Major League Soccer (MLS).

The 49-year-old’s last game for the Sky Blues will be this Saturday’s Emirates FA Cup Quarter Final against Wolverhampton Wanderers.

Dennis joined City in June 2021 and has established himself as a vital and popular component of the Sky Blues’ team among both players and staff. During his tenure at the club, City established themselves as a Championship side, reaching the Play-Off Final in 2022/23 season.

Manager Mark Robins explained:

“I’d like to thank Dennis for his hard work and significant contribution to our success over the last few years, during which he has been a popular and crucial member of our team.

“It is an incredible opportunity for Dennis and his family that it would have been difficult not to have taken, and he leaves us with our best wishes for his new role at Minnesota United and for the future.”

Dennis said:

“I’d want to thank the Coventry City supporters for their support throughout my time at this fantastic club.

“I will carry with me the wonderful memories we shared, particularly our 4-1 triumph over Sheffield United, in which I had the honour of leading the squad on the day.

“I’ll carry the song We Live And Die In These Towns with me, as I always tap my foot before kickoff at home games.

“Wishing Coventry City every success going forward – PUSB.”

Coventry City will announce the appointment of a new first-team coach in due course.
