It is highly likely that all four sides will comfortably pass the 90-point mark at the end of the season, with the standard at the top having rarely, if at all, been seen before. Speaking on the latest episode of the Seaman Says Podcast, David Seaman believes the three relegated sides will be promoted, with Leeds pipping Leicester to the title. He said: “I think the three that went down will go up. I am not going to say you [Southampton] are going to pip Leeds [to second spot] am I? You might pip Leicester because we are going to win the league.” Leeds, Leicester and Southampton are undoubtedly the favourites given the quality of their respective squads, but Ipswich have just been incredible this season. Their six match winning run was brought to a dramatic end by Cardiff City at the weekend, as they conceded two stoppage time goals to lose the game, and drop out of the top two. It will be interesting to see how they react. Leicester, meanwhile, had been miles clear at the top but a run of just one win in five has dragged them right back into it and Leeds now undoubtedly have a chance at the title. The key for Southampton will be their points return in away matches at Ipswich, Leicester and Leeds. A couple of defeats is likely to end their hopes of the top two.
