Talks between John Lundstram and Rangers over a new deal have stalled, sources have told Football Insider.
The 30-year-old midfielder is one of the top earners at Ibrox but is out of contract in the summer and is likely to become a free agent.
As disclosed by Football Insider, talks between both parties are well underway and Rangers have made it a top priority to sign Lundstram to a new contract.
It is known that Gers boss Philippe Clement is personally striving to get a contract over the line as he considers Lundstram as an essential component of the first-team group.

However, Lundstram now wants to weigh up his alternatives before committing to a new deal with the Liverpool-born player likely to have numerous offers in the summer.
Lundstram has been a fixture in Clement’s starting lineup this season with 42 games, one goal and five assists across all competitions.
After moving from Sheffield United to Rangers in 2021, he had a sluggish start to his career at Ibrox, but he soon became a Glasgow fan favourite.
Lundstram has spent three years with the team, during which he has won the Scottish Cup and the Scottish League Cup. He also played a significant part in the team’s 2021–22 run to the Europa League final.
