FIFA regulations on Rangers are dubbed after the “Shock” Ibrox transfer announcement involving Jose Cifuentes.

Dan Plumley has maintained that following the Rangers’ announcement, “shock” factors in the market, including the conflict between Russia and Ukraine, will continue to affect player movement.

It comes after Jose Cifuentes disclosed that he was rejected by two Russian teams who were interested in signing him before he spent the winter on loan at Cruzeiro.

The football financial specialist acknowledged that FIFA regulations will create obstacles for such possible transfers, and the effects are anticipated to last for a while in the football world.

He exclusively told Ibrox News, “From what we’re led to believe, those restrictions and some of the things that were put in place by FIFA would still cause potential barriers to moves and that.”

“It appears that going elsewhere was the wisest course of action for all parties, taking into account that you can become entangled in it as well as for the player.

“Again, these are the kinds of external shock factors that we are still dealing with in some markets right now. They are not related to football at all, but they do have an impact, and player movement is one of those things that will continue to have an impact if things stay the same.”

Even though Cifuentes’ move to Glasgow didn’t work out, it seemed like teams were lining up to sign him, and in the end, it took some time, but it seems like he made the correct choice.
