Ipswich Town loanee Omari Hutchinson has been nominated for the Sky Bet Championship Player of the Month award for February. The versatile attacker registered a goal or an assist in five successive games, finding the back of the net against West Brom, Rotherham United and Birmingham City while setting up Nathan Broadhead to score against both Millwall and Swansea City.
As a result, he was named as Town’s Player of the Month for February, as voted for by the club’s supporters. He now has a chance to win the award for the Championship, where he’s up against three other top performers. Leeds United midfielder Ilia Gruev, Norwich City forward Josh Sargent and Sheffield Wednesday striker Ike Ugbo have also been nominated. The winner will be announced on Friday, March 8th. The judging panel for the Sky Bet Player of the Month comprises Sky Sports’ EFL expert Don Goodman; EFL Chief Executive Trevor Birch and Sky Bet EFL trader Ivor Davies.
