The Mavs’ standout player Luka Doncic, who averaged 33.4 points, 10.3 assists, and 9.6 rebounds per game in February, was awarded the Western Conference Player of the Month.
Dallas — Luka Doncic of the Dallas Mavericks was named February’s Western Conference Player of the Month by the NBA, his fourth consecutive year of being selected for this title. Doncic has already won the prize three times, in November 2019, February 2022, and December 2022.In Mavs history, only Dirk Nowitzki (six) has accumulated more of these accolades.With an average of 33.4 points, 10.3 assists, 9.6 rebounds, and 1.8 steals in 37.2 minutes per game in February, Doncic guided the Mavs to an 8-3 record. He made 39.8 percent of his shots from outside the arc and 51.7 percent from the field.In his 11 total appearances, he had eight games with 30 points or more, three performances with 40 points or more, and five performances with 35 points or more.
During this time, the Mavs tied their longest winning streak since the 2010–11 championship season with a seven-game run led by the superstar from Slovenia. With averages of 31.3 points, 10.5 rebounds, 8.0 assists, and 1.8 steals per game from February 5 to 11, he was nominated for Western Conference Player of the Week and helped Dallas win four games during that stretch.
In a game against the Brooklyn Nets on February 6, Doncic became the first NBA player to attain such a stat line with one or fewer turnovers. He scored 35 points, pulled down a season-high 18 rebounds, and added nine assists. On February 22, he played the Phoenix Suns and came close to recording a 40-point triple-double, finishing with 41 points, 9 rebounds, and 11 assists.

On February 28, Doncic turned up a historic performance against Toronto to commemorate turning 25. He finished with 30 points, 11 rebounds, and 16 assists. He became the first player to ever record a triple-double of 30 points on his birthday as a result.
Doncic has broken numerous records, including being the NBA’s leader in 35-point games (25), 40-point performances (12), and other triple-double categories. As the first player in the franchise to accomplish three straight triple-doubles, he now stands among the select few players in NBA history to have achieved a 30-point triple-double run.
