IPSWITCH TOWN: January failure to sign 31-year-old Star

 

Ipswich Town, led by Kieran McKenna, defeated Plymouth Argyle 2-0 on the road on Saturday afternoon, and Leeds United could only watch as their rivals moved back up to second place in the Championship standings.
Both Southampton and Ipswich had an opportunity to pull Daniel Farke’s team back in Saturday’s lunchtime matchup against Huddersfield Town, the Yorkshire derby. By winning, both teams achieved that.
Southampton overcame a 3-0 deficit to defeat Birmingham City 4-3, reducing Tony Mowbray’s team to 10 men. Ipswich has now returned to form, winning five straight Championship games.
Following a period of instability, Ipswich has returned to the race and is two points ahead of us despite all four teams having played the same number of games. At the top, Leicester is now only three points ahead of Ipswich.
Ipswich’s revival to form has been aided by a number of players, including January signing Kieffer Moore.
