Loan exit from Coventry City

Di Trolio’s relocation to Welling is advantageous to all parties. Before going back to Coventry, he will gain some experience, and his new team will have a member to aid increase their chances of surviving in the sixth tier.

The youngster was immediately loaned back to the Saints after joining the Sky Blues in January 2023 from St Albans City.

Although he has contributed regularly to the growth of his parent club, he has not yet been in the first team under Mark Robins.

The Italian, who is capable of playing both full-back and center-back when necessary, made ten appearances for Bishop’s Stortford in the National League North earlier this season. He will be eager to build on that experience with a prosperous stint at Welling.

Di Trolio departs a Coventry squad that is hoping to go to the Championship play-offs for the time being. Their last game was a 2-1 loss away to West Brom, where Haji Wright scored for them from the penalty spot.

The Sky Blues are now ninth in the standings after dropping their last two league games.

With 11 games remaining, they are now five points outside of the top six. Robins’ team’s next game is at home against Rotherham United, who are now at the bottom of the table. This is a great chance for them to get back to winning ways.
