Following Tom Lawrence’s performance in the Rangers vs. Kilmarnock game, Barry Ferguson is gushing about him.
Phillippe Clement’s side picked up all three points at Rugby Park after goals by James Tavernier and Lawrence.
Ferguson was impressed by Lawrence against Kilmarnock and wrote in the Daily Record on Friday (1 March): “And Tom Lawrence too stepped up to the plate when he netted the winner to keep my old club at the top of the table.”Rangers’ victory at Kilmarnock was a crucial one and the fact they came from 1-0 down to win shows the character in their squad.
Lawrence joined the Ibrox club in the summer of 2022, and he made a slow start to life in Glasgow, partly due to injury problems. The Wales international, who has made 23 caps for his country to date, still has over a year left on his contract with the Gers and can still play a key part for Clement’s side as they chase down the title. There is no doubting his quality and at the age of 30, he still has plenty of years left ahead of him in the game. He has played for the likes of Manchester United, Cardiff City and Derby County in the past in England.
