Yannick Bolasie has played against some of the very best teams and players in modern football.

With a tonne of Premier League and international experience under his belt, the Congolese winger is probably one of the best at identifying a strong squad.

The winger, who played for Swansea City in the Championship for the first half of the season, has now identified, in an interview with FilthyFellas, the team he thinks is the best in the second division this year.

Bolasie claims that although he was quite impressed by Leeds United during his match against the Whites, Southampton’s system was the one that most impressed him. Russell Martin is currently the coach of the Saints.

Leeds is inferior than Southampton, according to Yannick Bolasie.

Regarding these two clubs, the winger gave his assessment.

“What is the best team you have faced this season in the Championship?” It was inquired of Bolasie.

“Leeds was excellent, but Southampton, with their method, burned us. In that Southampton system, I would be like, “Please give me the ball.” Bolasie stated, “Because their wingers are just there, gone.”

Shut up

Although Leeds now leads Southampton in the standings, there is no denying that the two teams are extremely similar in terms of skill.

Although Southampton had a club-record undefeated run earlier in the season that put them in a great position for promotion, Leeds’ current form is still stronger.

When the season comes to a conclusion, both teams want to be in the top two, and their encounter on the last day of the championship may turn out to be one of the most intense ever.

There’s little doubt that this promotion competition will be intensely captivating until the very last day of the season.
