Speaking on the talkSPORT breakfast show, the 38-year-old highlighted three standout aspects of Celtic’s performance against the Europa League holders. He believes the result—making it four points from three games—signals a solid start for Celtic in the Champions League, giving them a real chance to progress to the knockout rounds, provided they win their home matches.

Agbonlahor remarked: “You’ve got to give a shout out to Celtic last night. I watched the Celtic game at 5.45pm, and they did the opposite of what they did in Dortmund when they got absolutely battered. They were more compact, throwing bodies in front of the ball. Schmeichel in goal was outstanding with some amazing saves. They showed grit, fight, and defensive responsibility. I am sure Brendan will be so proud of them. Arsenal drew there too this season in the Champions League. It’s a tough place to go, we know that. So, I think Celtic deserve recognition.

“Celtic really committed defensively. Yes, they struggled to attack, but they were constantly putting their bodies on the line. It was one of those team performances where you think, ‘let’s go there and get a draw.’ It’s not a bad start for Celtic, with four points from three games. They’ve got a chance, but they need to win their home games.”
