Regis Le Bris has made one change to his Sunderland lineup for tonight’s Championship clash against Luton Town, with Alan Browne replacing Patrick Roberts. Roberts, who struggled to make a significant impact in the final third during the previous game against Hull, drops to the bench. Browne’s inclusion is expected to see Chris Rigg move into a more advanced role on the right flank.
Wilson Isidor retains his spot as Sunderland’s striker after scoring the winner against Hull, while Eliezer Mayenda and Dan Ballard remain sidelined. Le Bris mentioned post-Hull that Roberts’ performance in one-on-one situations was unusual, and hinted at tactical adjustments, which are now reflected in tonight’s lineup.
Luton Town boss Rob Edwards has also made one change, with Japan international Daiki Hashioka coming in for the injured Reece Burke.
