Michael Beale is shown how to do it by the former Rangers manager, which infuriates Giovanni van Bronckhorst.

Giovanni van Bronckhorst fumes as ex-Rangers boss shows Michael Beale how it's done

Disagree with Giovanni van Bronckhorst’s abilities as a Rangers manager all you want, but there’s no denying his manhood.

The former manager of the Glasgow Rangers behaved honourably and respectfully during his second stint at Ibrox, coming dangerously close to immortality in Seville.

When comparing and contrasting his 12-month tenure at Rangers with Michael Beale’s, only Giovanni van Bronckhorst can be truly proud.

Rangers owed Giovanni van Bronckhorst more.

Even if things didn’t work out for him, I have no doubt that the club would still welcome him back with open arms if he were to return.

I’ll stick with my belief—and dispute with anyone who doesn’t—that a combination of bad luck, subpar officiating, and, more crucially, player mistakes cost us the league championship in 2021–2022.

Naturally, there was also the journey to the Europa League championship.

He provided Rangers supporters some of the best evenings of their life on multiple occasions, creating what was maybe the biggest atmosphere to ever be heard or seen at Ibrox.

Speaking with Four Four Two, Gio made it apparent that he is still not pleased with his successor for taking a seat in the stands during a season that saw a rough start:

As a fellow manager, I don’t think you should actually do that. When your coworker is under pressure, you should avoid sitting in the stands during a game. That is not what I would have done.

Gio would never do such a thing to another manager, I’m sure of it.

Conversely, Beale has already displayed some warning signs even though he has only been manager for a little over a season and a half.

A few weeks after Wolverhampton Wanderers sought to meet with him, he told QPR that he was “all in” and would be joining Rangers.

Then there was the way Fashionon Sakala and Glen Kamara, who had never committed a transgression throughout their tenure at the team, were treated. They were forced to practice alone as they awaited transfers.

On the other hand, I doubt that you will ever read or hear anything negative about Giovanni van Bronckhorst.

Beale most likely won’t be on his list of people to send Christmas cards to.
