Spotted: Wolves star suffers major injury as image emerges, O’Neil will be gutted

Wolves have encountered a significant setback as forward Hwang Hee-chan sustained an ankle injury during South Korea’s 2-0 victory over Jordan in a World Cup qualifier. Hwang had to be helped off the field just 20 minutes into the match after suffering the injury, and concerning reports suggest he was later seen in a wheelchair at Seoul airport. The severity of the injury remains unclear, but images show his ankle to be significantly swollen, adding to Wolves’ concerns.

Hwang’s injury adds to Wolves’ growing list of absentees, including defender Yerson Mosquera, who is out for the season with an ACL injury. Wolves, currently struggling at the bottom of the Premier League table without a win in seven games, are already under pressure. They face defending champions Manchester City after the international break in what is shaping up to be a critical period for manager Gary O’Neil.

With Hwang yet to score or assist in his eight appearances this season, his potential absence could still be a major blow for Wolves’ attack. The club will have to wait for his return to England for a full assessment of the injury .
