BREAKING NEWS: Sacking season continues for Celtic’s Champions League opponents….

After just four months in charge, YB Bern have dismissed manager Patrick Rahmen.

The Swiss champions have endured a disastrous start to the season, suffering heavy defeats to Aston Villa and Barcelona, leaving them at the bottom of their 36-team Champions League group.

Rahmen’s brief tenure included playoff victories, both home and away, against Galatasaray as a notable achievement.

However, just one win, three draws, and five losses in the Swiss league, coupled with poor Champions League performances, led the club to follow Dinamo Zagreb’s example by parting ways with their manager.

Celtic will host YB Bern on January 22 in a crucial match that could determine whether the Hoops continue their Champions League journey.

While the SPFL will be playing throughout the festive season, the Swiss league has a break from December 15 to January 18, meaning YB Bern will have only one competitive match in the five weeks leading up to their clash with Celtic.

U-21 coach Joël Magnin will serve as interim manager, with a key league match against Luzern and a Champions League fixture against Inter Milan on October 23 looming.
