“That is false” – Father responds to ‘invented’ stories against Celtic player, opens door for transfer

Luis Palma’s start to the season at Celtic under Brendan Rodgers has been challenging, as he has been limited to just two substitute appearances in the Scottish Premiership and a couple of games in the cup competition. The 24-year-old forward from Honduras was left out of the national squad for the recent international break, and according to reports from *El Heraldo* and *Diario Diez*, this was Palma’s own request. He chose to stay behind to focus on regaining his form at Celtic.

There has been speculation on social media regarding his absence from the Honduras squad, but Palma’s father, Enrique Palma, has addressed these rumors, labeling them as false. He emphasized that his son has stepped back from social media to concentrate on his football. According to Enrique, Luis is not discouraged by his limited playing time at Celtic, acknowledging that other players are performing well, and his son is committed to earning Brendan Rodgers’ trust through hard work.

Enrique also highlighted that Palma went through a similar dip in form last season but eventually recovered and performed well. He expressed optimism that Luis will get his opportunity again, with plenty of matches still to be played in the league, domestic cups, and the Champions League.

While Luis Palma is focused on his current situation at Celtic, his father did not rule out the possibility of a move away from the club in the future, though it remains secondary to his immediate goal of regaining his place in the squad.
