After striking the winner, Kuhn celebrated with the away fans, despite already being on a yellow card. While many expected the referee, Kevin Clancy, to brandish a second yellow, Clancy opted to keep his cards in his pocket, a decision that sparked controversy.
Boyd, who was providing analysis on Sky Sports, was quick to question the referee’s leniency. He commented, “Take nothing away from Celtic, it’s a fantastic finish from Nicolas Kuhn. But, obviously, you can just run into the crowd and celebrate and nothing happens. The rules must have changed. I thought you got booked if you go into the crowd.”
