Rangers hero Kris Boyd has found himself on the receiving end of laughter from a Celtic legend following his comments about a potential red card in Celtic’s recent victory over Ross County. Brendan Rodgers’ side secured their seventh straight Premiership win with a 2-1 triumph, thanks to a late goal from Nicolas Kuhn.

After striking the winner, Kuhn celebrated with the away fans, despite already being on a yellow card. While many expected the referee, Kevin Clancy, to brandish a second yellow, Clancy opted to keep his cards in his pocket, a decision that sparked controversy.

Boyd, who was providing analysis on Sky Sports, was quick to question the referee’s leniency. He commented, “Take nothing away from Celtic, it’s a fantastic finish from Nicolas Kuhn. But, obviously, you can just run into the crowd and celebrate and nothing happens. The rules must have changed. I thought you got booked if you go into the crowd.”

Boyd’s remarks led to some mocking from a Celtic legend, who was clearly amused by the Rangers favourite’s criticism. The exchange has added fuel to the fire in the ongoing rivalry between the two Glasgow giants, with fans from both sides weighing in on the debate over the decision.
