Celtic FC Women have made history by becoming the first Scottish club to qualify for the UEFA Women’s Champions League group stage. This achievement not only elevates the profile of the team but also brings substantial financial rewards.
By reaching the group stages, Celtic are set to receive a base allocation of €400,000 from UEFA. Additional financial incentives include €50,000 for each win and €17,000 for a draw during the group stages. Should they advance, the rewards increase: €160,000 for reaching the quarter-finals, €180,000 for the semi-finals, €200,000 for the runners-up, and €350,000 for winning the competition.
This financial boost comes as a result of hard work by both the players and the coaching staff, led by manager Elena Sadiku. The victory over FK Vorskla Poltava secured their place in the group stage, representing a major step forward for Celtic’s women’s team and the broader Scottish football scene.
