“It’s a worry” – Sky Sports pundit issues Patrick Bamford concern in Leeds United striker verdict

Leeds United are facing challenges in their striker department, with Patrick Bamford struggling to make an impact due to recurring injury problems. Bamford, once heavily relied upon, has been in and out of the squad, yet to score this season after missing much of the pre-season recovering from injuries. Despite being named as a substitute in Leeds’ recent game against Cardiff City, he did not feature, and concerns about his fitness persist.

Meanwhile, 20-year-old forward Mateo Joseph has stepped up with four goal involvements (one goal and three assists) in six games this season. However, Sky Sports pundit Paul Robinson has expressed concerns about the team’s over-reliance on Joseph, especially given his young age and inexperience. Robinson highlighted the need for Leeds to strengthen their forward options, suggesting that Joel Piroe is not a natural No.9 and questioning Bamford’s ability to stay fit throughout the season.

Robinson believes Leeds might need to consider adding another striker in the January transfer window to relieve the pressure on Joseph, who has become a key player in linking play and creating chances for the team.
