SAD NEWS: Aston Villa 18-year- old fan died after attending the club’s EFL match against Wycombe

Josh Moseley, a devoted Aston Villa supporter, is set for an extraordinary experience after being invited by UEFA to attend the Champions League final at Wembley, following a life-threatening incident at Villa Park. Moseley, a father of two from Bloxwich, suffered a cardiac arrest during a Europa Conference League match against Olympiacos on May 2. His life was saved by fellow fan and ambulance technician Heidi Elliott, who administered CPR until medical staff arrived.

In recognition of their story, UEFA invited both Josh and Heidi to be part of their *Get Trained, Save Lives* campaign, which highlights the importance of learning CPR. Moseley, who had a defibrillator fitted after the incident, described his invitation to the final as “surreal” and expressed excitement about attending football’s biggest club event.

The campaign, launched in 2022, promotes CPR awareness across Europe, with booths in fan zones and educational videos at major football events. Moseley hopes his experience will inspire others to learn CPR, stating, “It can be the difference between life and death.”
