BREAKING NEWS: Falkirk fans attack Celtic midfielder after Scottish League Quarter final clash

Ahead of Celtic’s Champions League match against Slovan Bratislava, tensions flared when a group of around 100 Slovan fans appeared to attempt an attack on McChuills, a popular Celtic pub in Glasgow. The group, dressed in Slovan’s sky blue colors, was escorted by police as they passed the bar on High Street, where they goaded the pub’s patrons with chants and gestures.

Footage from the scene shows one Slovan fan breaking away from the group and charging towards the pub, grabbing a Celtic supporter and sparking a brief scuffle. Police quickly intervened to prevent the situation from escalating further, eventually arresting the individual who initiated the confrontation.

Despite the pre-match altercation, the situation was brought under control, and no serious injuries have been reported. On the field, Celtic secured a dominant 5-1 victory, with goals from Scales, Kyogo, Engels, Maeda, and Idah, kicking off their Champions League campaign on a high note.

Police Scotland is currently investigating the incident.
