Lewis Hamilton has pushed back against claims that he exceeded the pit-lane speed limit during the Monaco Grand Prix after receiving a post-race penalty from Formula 1 stewards. The Ferrari driver insists he followed the correct procedures and believes the incident deserves further examination following a race weekend that saw several competitors penalized for similar offences.
Hamilton crossed the finish line in second place behind Mercedes sensation Kimi Antonelli after a dramatic and incident-filled race around the streets of Monte Carlo. Despite maintaining his podium result, the seven-time world champion was handed a five-second penalty for exceeding the pit-lane speed limit during one of his stops.
