SAD NEW: Leeds United star ,car crashed just hours before playoff

Charlie Cresswell, a 21-year-old Leeds United defender, was involved in a car crash outside Elland Road just hours before Leeds’ crucial play-off semi-final second-leg match against Norwich. Cresswell’s Land Rover Defender collided with a West Yorkshire Police patrol car near the club’s ticket office. The incident occurred at around 10:15 a.m. as players were arriving at the stadium for the match preparations.

A police officer sustained minor injuries in the collision and was treated at the scene, but no other injuries were reported. West Yorkshire Police are conducting an investigation into the circumstances of the crash.

Despite the off-field incident, Leeds United are focused on the game, which could secure them a spot at Wembley and keep their hopes of a Premier League return alive. After a scoreless first leg in Norwich, the tie is finely balanced, with Leeds being the favorites to advance, especially with home advantage at Elland Road.

Cresswell has been a regular substitute for Leeds under Daniel Farke but has struggled to secure regular playing time.
