On Sunday, Scottish Championship side Falkirk will visit Parkhead in the last 16 of the League Cup. After being eliminated at this stage of the competition last season, the Hoops are eager to reclaim the trophy and secure some early silverware.

While John McGlynn’s Falkirk will pose a challenge, Celtic manager Brendan Rodgers is expected to make a few changes to his lineup. According to *The Scottish Sun*, Cameron Carter-Vickers and Alistair Johnston were both absent from training at Lennoxtown, though fans need not be alarmed, as their absences are due to heavy schedules. Johnston was seen enjoying some time off in Manchester, while Carter-Vickers has previously been given rest after a demanding week, as seen after the last Glasgow derby.

Although there’s still one training session left before Sunday’s match, it’s unlikely either defender will feature against Falkirk. Celtic should have enough depth to manage, with Anthony Ralston and Auston Trusty potential replacements.
