Prescott will count $59.45 million against the salary cap if there is no contract. The Cowboys have two options: they can restructure his existing contract to free up roughly $18 million and add dead money in 2025, or they can lower his cap figure with a new deal that would make him one of the NFL’s highest-paid quarterbacks.
