BREAKING NEWS; Foster: A Hard One to Accept

Ian Foster admits Plymouth Argyle defeat by Ipswich Town a tough one to take - Plymouth Live
Ian Foster, the manager of Plymouth, acknowledged that it was difficult to watch his team lose 2-0 to the Blues at Home Park.Town took the lead thanks to an own goal from Brendan Galloway in the 63rd minute. Eleven minutes later, Kieffer Moore completed the victory, giving Town their 10th away win of the Championship season. As a result of the loss, the Pilgrims dropped to 16th place in the standings and have now lost their last three home games in the league.Foster told Plymouth Live, “We don’t like losing football games, obviously, especially here at Home Park, and it’s a tough one to take because we are in the game for long, long periods against really good opposition.”Our defense has been excellent, and we pose a threat. We are just dissatisfied with how the first goal was scored. We are terribly unfortunate about this. The shot is heading in the wrong direction; sadly, it only struck Brendan before ricocheting into the goal. The only thing I have to say about the players is that we should have responded a little bit better and moved on from that moment. After that, I felt like we were flat, and I understand it since they had performed so admirably and because sometimes the pursuit of an objective may just psychologically harm a person.

They work so hard that I don’t want to be judgmental of them in the slightest. We’ve had an extremely difficult run of games here, and I feel bad for our fans who have returned in large numbers and filled the stadium. They want to see us win football games here, and all I can say is that we really gave it our all against some very tough competition. We recently demonstrated our capacity to turn around after unsatisfactory outcomes, and maybe we can continue that into next week.Foster went on, “The players have been fantastic; they have been truly exceptional.” They adopt our tactical knowledge and execute it.Although we were unlucky to get a few of chances at the top of the pitch, they comply with all of my requests. They genuinely do.We must show our opponents respect. They pose a serious threat, but in sports, things can happen by the narrowest of margins, and the opening goal has somewhat dashed our hopes.
