Lewis Hamilton has used the F1 break between the Miami and Canadian Grands Prix to surprise fans with a store appearance.
Lewis Hamilton surprised fans after making a special appearance at the opening of a new flagship store for luxury luggage brand RIMOWA in Cologne.
The seven-time Formula 1 world champion has long been associated with high-end fashion and lifestyle brands, from his well-known partnership with Tommy Hilfiger to more recent collaborations with Dior and lululemon. His relationship with RIMOWA has also become increasingly visible, including appearances with the brand’s signature luggage during Formula 1 weekends.
At the Cologne event, Hamilton joined a live audience for an interview where he spoke candidly about life on the move and even tested some of the company’s latest luggage pieces. Known for his busy international schedule, the British driver admitted he can spend up to two months traveling at a time and confessed that he tends to “overpack” before trips.
Hamilton was also joined by Rosé, who is likewise an ambassador for RIMOWA. The two took part in a lighthearted Q&A session for the brand’s social media channels, discussing their travel habits and nightlife preferences.
When asked whether he unpacks immediately after arriving home, Hamilton joked that he usually leaves his suitcase sitting in the hallway because he enjoys packing far more than unpacking. The conversation later shifted to nightlife, where Hamilton revealed he prefers dancing over quiet lounges, saying that if he goes out, it’s usually to dance rather than chat.
The fun interview wrapped up with a more personal question about his most-used emoji. Instead of choosing something racing-related, Hamilton revealed he’s recently been using the hand-heart emoji the most, adding a playful ending to the appearance.
